When Apple released the Touch 4 they finally added cameras but they used the 0.7 MP stills of the 720p hd camera instead of something better. Sure they had their reasons but the result is still a disappointment as a still camera.
Soon Verizon will make an announcement that most believe will be the long awaited Verizon iPhone. If it is, will there be a catch? The iPhone 5 may come out in June. Will Verizon get it then or have to wait? Will the Verizon iPhone be a lesser version of the AT&T iPhone? Did Verizon agree to a watered down phone just to get in on the iPhone money train? One rumor (and they’re all rumors until Tuesday) is a version with no rear camera but with a fix for the antenna issue. Many people have said that if Verizon or anyone else got an iPhone they would leave AT&T so fast they would blur when they passed.
Will you wait for June or sprint to Verizon (get it? Sprint) and take the chance on missing out on the iPhone 5? What if 5 has cool new stuff like a better screen or a better chip, or dual chips, a better camera setup or even a pico projector. If it has a jet pack I’ll be so mad. Certainly apple wouldn’t split the line to make even more versions and thus less profit?
I want a Verizon iPhone, but if its not the same or better than the current iPhone, I’ll probably wait for the next one.
Please Steve don’t weaken the iPhone to spread it around.

I got that sinking feeling….Ohoh that sinking feeling….
While watching the last hour of The Tech Guy radio show recording live on Live.Twit.Tv Leo talked to a guy from Motorola about the new Xoom tablet. He said there would be some announcement about the Xoom and Verizon in the next few days.
So Verizon invites press that normally writes about Apple stuff and we all hope for the iphone on Verizon but what if they want to announce the details of the Xoom tablet that they hope to be an ipad killer? It fits that since they’ve wanted the iphone for a long time this might be a great chance to get a little shot in at Apple.
I hope it’s just my pessimistic attitude showing but in my life if it can suck it will happen to me. Bright side I’d save a bunch of money on something I don’t really need. I’ve spent 30 minutes on my tracfone in the past 6 months so this may be a blessing in disguise.
